Event Details

India is expected to be the third-largest economy by 2025. Powering that growth is the trend toward urbanization, which is going to increase consumption power, as well as economic leverage.  Also, a factor is streamlining of government functioning using technology. India growth  is as well  dependent on  factors as monsoons, and external investments.

India’s manufacturing infrastructure and capacity for innovation is poised for phenomenal growth: new smart cities and industrial clusters, being developed in identified industrial corridors having connectivity, new youth-focused programs and institutions dedicated to developing specialized skills, start-ups and Innovation.

The world is at the beginning of a revolution where there are huge advances in genomics, artificial intelligence, materials and manufacturing technologies. Machines are closing in on human ability with astonishing speed. The fourth industrial revolution is when data and digital interplay with the physical world on an ongoing basis, continuously. It’s a fact that in many parts of India, even the 2nd and 3rd industrial revolutions have not reached, if you go deep down. But in the same parts of India, the 4th industrial revolution is already reaching… it may help India leapfrog all the barriers that existed. How does that fit into the India scenario when we have to create jobs instead of replacing them? Can Sweden play a role in this change?
