Embassy of India in Sweden in association with Uppsala University & India Unlimited & Make in India brings you India@Almedalen: Future Urbanisms. H.E. Ambassador Monika Kapil Mohta will Inaugurate India@Almedalen at 09.30 am. Our Chief Guest from India is Mrs. Soma Banerjee, Executive Director & Principal Lead (Smart Cities), Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
The seminar series connect the urban needs, innovative spirit and entrepreneurial energy of India with the robust ideas of sustainability and resilience, technologies and business models of Sweden and the Nordic world. The seminars directly links to the aims and objectives of the long-term multidisciplinary research programme Future Urbanisms located at Uppsala University’s Campus Gotland.
The Perspectives
The seminars will focus on the prospects of cooperation and collaboration between India and Sweden from three perspectives of:
1. Technology for Sustainable Solutions
2. Lifestyle as the Key to Sustainability &
3. Urban Sustainability.
The Issues
Within these three perspectives, the conference will specifically discuss issues of:
